Wall Traces

Site-specific graffiti; industrial paint, pencil and varnish. 2008

These are paintings on the walls inside a residential building in Jerusalem. The paintings were based on stains and the building's natural deterioration.

I emphasized existing marks and traces and integrated them into patterns. In this way, the paintings represented the building, becoming its self-consciousness. They lasted three years. In 2011, they were destroyed by the authorities.
